What MyUCLAHealth is, and what this site is not

MyUCLAHealth is the secure patient portal run by UCLA Health. It is where eligible patients can review the health information UCLA Health has made available to them and handle routine tasks online, in their own time rather than over the phone. Access, and what you can see once you are signed in, is decided by UCLA Health.

This site is an independent informational resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by UCLA Health, and it never asks for your username, password or medical details.

Step by step

How to Log In to MyUCLAHealth

The portal is run by UCLA Health, so the sign-in page and any security checks you see are the official ones. The steps below describe the general flow; the exact wording on screen can change as UCLA Health updates the portal.

1

Open the official portal

Go to the verified UCLA Health patient portal, either by typing the address yourself or by using the button on this page. Avoid signing in from a link in an email you were not expecting.

2

Find the MyUCLAHealth sign-in

On the official site, select the MyUCLAHealth sign-in option. This is the only place your username and password should ever be entered.

3

Enter your credentials

Type the username and password you registered with UCLA Health. They are checked by the portal itself; this website never sees them.

4

Complete any security verification

The portal may ask for a one-time code sent to your phone or email, or run another check already set up on your account. Follow whatever appears on screen.

5

Use the features your account has

Once you are in, you will see the sections UCLA Health has enabled for your account. These differ between patients, so it is normal if yours does not look like someone else's.

Help by problem

Account creation, password and username help

Four different problems, four different fixes. Every one of them is handled on the official portal or by UCLA Health support — none of them can be done from this page.

person_add

Create your account

Registration is handled entirely by UCLA Health, and most patients are invited to enrol by their care team. Have the details UCLA Health already holds for you to hand before you start.

lock_reset

Reset your password

Use the password reset on the official portal. Instructions go to the email address or phone number on your UCLA Health record, so check your spam folder if nothing arrives.

manage_accounts

Recover your username

If the portal does not recognise your username, recovery has to go through UCLA Health support. There is no way to look an account up from this page.

support_agent

Still cannot get in?

If your details are correct but the login keeps failing, the problem is usually on the account rather than the password — and only official support can clear it.

Inside the portal

What you may be able to do in MyUCLAHealth

UCLA Health decides which services appear for each patient, so treat this as what the portal commonly supports rather than a guarantee. If something is missing from your account, UCLA Health can tell you why.

biotech

View available test results

Test results are released by UCLA Health, and some are held back until a clinician has reviewed them. When they appear, you can read them in the portal.

clinical_notes

Review medical information

Depending on your account, you may see visit summaries, immunisation records and medication lists that UCLA Health has made available to you.

calendar_month

Manage appointments

Where the portal supports it, you can request, confirm or reschedule appointments without waiting on the phone.

forum

Communicate with your care team

Send non-urgent messages to the team that handles your care, and read their replies in the portal.

medication

Request prescription refills, where supported

Repeat prescriptions can often be requested through the portal rather than by phone. Availability depends on the medication and on your account.

receipt_long

Access billing information, where available

Statements and balances may be viewable in the portal for accounts where UCLA Health has enabled billing.

On your phone

Using MyUCLAHealth on a mobile device

The official portal is a website, so it works in a mobile browser on a compatible device. You sign in with the same username and password you would use on a computer — there is no separate mobile account and nothing to download.

If UCLA Health offers an authorised app in your app store, check the publisher before you install it. Apps that use the MyUCLAHealth name without being published by UCLA Health are not official and should never be given your login.

  • smartphone

Same account and credentials as the desktop portal

  • security

Only install an app whose publisher is UCLA Health

  • wifi

A stable connection is all it needs — the portal is not an app you download

When it will not work

Common login problems and what to try

Most failed logins come down to something small: a mistyped character, a password saved on an old device, or an account issue only UCLA Health can clear. Work down the list, and if you reach the end without an answer, contact official support.

error

Incorrect username or password

Check for a mistyped character, a keyboard set to the wrong language, or a password manager filling in an old password. Typing your details in by hand on the official page rules most of it out.

password

Forgotten password

Use the password reset on the official portal. Look for the reset email or text at the address and number UCLA Health holds for you, and check your spam folder before trying again.

lock

Account access problems

A locked, disabled or unregistered account cannot be fixed from this page. UCLA Health support can confirm the account's status and restore access.

web

Browser compatibility

Use an up-to-date version of a mainstream browser, allow cookies for the official portal, and turn off extensions that block scripts. Private or incognito windows can also break the sign-in.

wifi_off

Connectivity issues

A weak signal, a sign-in page on public Wi-Fi, or a VPN can drop the connection mid-login. Try again on a home or mobile network.

notifications_off

Security code not arriving

Where the portal sends a one-time code, give it a minute, check the spam folder, and confirm the phone number or email on your account is current. Official support can update it.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

The questions patients ask most before they sign in. If yours is not here, the Contact page explains how to reach official UCLA Health support.

MyUCLAHealth is the patient portal run by UCLA Health. It is a secure website where eligible patients can view certain health information and handle routine tasks online. Access, and the features you see, are controlled by UCLA Health rather than by this website.

Go to the verified official UCLA Health patient portal, either by using the button on this page or by typing the official address yourself. The MyUCLAHealth sign-in option is on that page. Never sign in through a link in an unexpected email or a search advert.

Use the password reset on the official portal. Reset instructions go to the email address or phone number UCLA Health has on your account, so check your spam folder if nothing arrives. This site cannot reset or look up your password.

Yes — the official portal works in a mobile browser on a compatible device, with the same credentials you use on a computer. If you install an app, check first that the publisher is UCLA Health.

Work through the troubleshooting steps: type your details in by hand, reset your password through the official portal, and try a different browser or network. If none of that works, the problem is on the account and only official UCLA Health support can resolve it.

Contact details and support routes are published on the official UCLA Health website — use those rather than any address on this page. This site cannot view, change or unlock your account.

Still stuck after the answers?

Locked accounts, missing records and out-of-date contact details can only be changed by UCLA Health. Nothing on this page can view or alter your account.
